Salad Olivier (Russian salad)

Boil the potatoes, peel them and cut into cubes. Scrape the carrots, boil them and chop them too. Slice the onion very small. Cut the eggs and diced cucumbers. Mix everything, add peas, confuse everything well with mayonnaise, cool and serve.

Interesting: Known in many countries such as Russian salad, the original version of this dish was created in 1860 by Lucien Olivier (Lucien Olivier, 1838-1883), a Belgian chef and restaurant owner Hermitage, one of the most famous restaurants in Moscow. This salad quickly became immensely popular among the patrons of the restaurant, and became his trademark.
